DELAWARE - A Delaware restaurateur has died while on a mission trip to India. Matt Haley, a James Beard winner, has reportedly died after a motorcycle accident while on a six month mission trip through India and Nepal. Governor Jack Markell released the following statement after hearing of Haley's passing. "Carla and I are devastated by the loss of our friend, Matt Haley.

WEST OCEAN CITY, Md. - Police say alcohol was to blame for an early morning hit and run crash. Maryland State Police - Berlin Barrack says with help from Worcester County Sheriff's Office Deputies, they responded to Bowline Lane in West Ocean City for a reported hit and run collision. Once on scene, Troopers and Deputies found that 30-year-old Ryan Orndorff, of Clarksville, Maryland, was driving a 2008 Ford pick-up truck, when he hit another vehicle while trying to park.

DOVER, Del. - Police say a woman, who reportedly stole cash and credit cards from her grandmother, has turned herself in. Dover Police say on Tuesday afternoon, 42-year-old Jennifer Bell turned herself into the Dover Police Department, after she was wanted on a slew of charges including theft over $1,500 and theft by false pretense under $1,500. Police say in May and June of this year Bell used her grandmother's ATM card, withdrawing $1,800 in cash without the victim's consent.

    RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Virginia students continue to improve and exceed the national average on the ACT college admissions exam. The Virginia Department of Education reports that Virginia students scored an average of 22.6 on the test this year. That tops last year's score of 22.4 and is well above the national average of 21. Virginia students improved and beat the national average in math, reading and science. Virginia's English score remained at 22 but also was above the national average.More >>

    DOVER, Del. - The suspect who was wanted in connection to a Sunday afternoon shooting, is now in custody. Dover Police say The Wilmington Police found 34-year-old Aaron Brown near West 4th Street and Rodney Street for reports of suspicious activity. According to the report, Brown gave the Wilmington Officer a fake name, and said that he did not have any identification on him. An investigation revealed that Brown was lying, what his real name was, and that he was wanted by Dover Police.More >>
